A woman celebrates her 100th birthday...

...but is tracked down for a blood sample. Really?!?! I mean really people, why in the world would the government need to track this old woman down in order to get a blood sample? Think for one second. Still thinking? So she survived a flu pandemic, but why would we need a sample of her blood? Well for one, she must have built a strong immunity to the flu which proven by her golden age, but on the flip side this suggests that our current flu vaccination are nothing compared to the antibodies that she is carrying. Just think, that if she donated her blood to science that you could create a flu vaccination that could possibly extend your life...lol. Killing two birds with one stone, no pun intended.

This is a HUGE baby....but that's besides the fact

Cheating in sports

I'm reading my sports blogs about people now a days and it has come to my attention one particular case of a track and field runner from South Africa .

So this teen girl apparently has bust out, yes I said that, these great times that no other woman can compete with on certain track events. So when you are called a cheater it has usually been along the lines of performance enhancing drugs or performance enhancing swimsuits. In this South African teen case, her gender has been questioned.
What the hell. So she runs great times over the others, she's 18 freaking years old and her competitors are a bit older than her. So now she's a man because she running faster times, and better yet, broken her own South African record in her events.

I see something wrong here, if no one else does.

To get on with the story, she has to undergo all of these test to determine if she was a woman. I mean really. How many test can there really be to determine a person's gender. Do a blood draw and be done with it already. The verification requires a physical medical evaluation, and includes reports from a gynecologist, endocrinologist, psychologist, an internal medicine specialist and an expert on gender.

And even if they find out that she is a woman, that still doesn't expunge her from cheating, even though she hasn't cheated in the first place.

Who Ya' Gonna Call?...not 911

So I'm reading this blarticle , and yes I totally made this word up, about people calling 911 for non emergency cases. Well these were some very strange cases. From people calling the police on the employees of McDonald's to a woman calling to get the phone number of the cop that came to her house. These were really some strange, yet, wasteful reasons to call 911 but hey anything can happen these days.

The reason for this is to mention that calling 911 with a non-emergency reason carries some very hefty fines and a jail sentence anywhere from 1-5 years! It is cheaper for you to park in a handicap space than to call 911, think about that. It seems ridiculous that you can get that much time in jail for calling a number.

I've become a distant fan of American Idol in its recent seasons but I can't help myself from becoming attached to some of the shows singers.

I am currently listening to Adam Lambert's CD and I remain impressed. What got me hooked to Adam out of all other contestants, well his performance of Mad World . Don't believe me. Listen for yourself . Even if you don't like his music I guarantee that you will like his take on this song.

So I'm reading this article about how NASA was celebrating the 40th anniversary of the moonwalk. What is interesting about it is there are so many conspiracies about that walk never really occurring.

Now the key point to this is the fact that the smart people at NASA no longer have the footage of the 1st moonwalk. Why, you ask? Well it seems that our smart friends at NASA RECORDED over the footage. Yes I said recorded over the footage. Now I know there was something going on for those smart people to record over something like that. Now I remember recording my favorite music videos as a kid, and they did not get recorded over. So how in the world do the people at NASA amount to such a feat? Well they ran out of tapes.

Yes, THEY RAN OUT OF TAPES!! All of the government money and they run out of tapes recording data. So in the event that they ran of tapes, the people of NASA recorded over data they figured they didn't need anymore and the moonwalk was subject to recycling.

The best line from this article, "It's surprising to me that NASA didn't have the common sense to save perhaps the most important historical footage of the 20th century." It really is funny but not surprising because most people that are claimed to be genius don't have a lick-of-commonsense. Yes! I said a lick-of-commonsense.

Now with all the technological advances, NASA has gone around the whole looking for people with copies of the footage...and they only found four people with copies. These copies are going to be digitally enhanced...as if the whole thing wasn't a production anyway.
