With economy steadily declining and gas prices steeply increasing. It has become hard to get to work and better yet get a job. There is not enough money in circulation to aid the increasing problems that the American people are facing. Let's list, most people with over 10 years experience in a job are starting to loose their jobs. Where does this leave them? For one, without a job, and two lack of educational experience to get another job sooner. So what are most of the unlucky people doing? They are going back to school. Its odd that now it seems that the idea of becoming a professional student will come to actually of actually being a job. Why a job? Well is school will be needed to secure a job but yet an education can't guarantee a person a job because the great possibility of someone else being more qualified then that would me people would be in school indefinitely which leads to more people being labeled a student as a profession. Where does this leave most people? In debt in which debt will continue to accrue as long as people take out loans to further their education in order to further their chances of landing a secure jobs.
Nothing is secure and it is sad that people have to suffer the loss of jobs after so many years since graduating from high school.
Can't find a job? Well I can't help you because I can't find a job either. After scouring over hundreds and hundreds of job listings since September 2007 I haven't landed a job yet. I have a 4yr degree and working on a Masters. And you ask what went wrong with me? I don't know but I've even looking into taking other classes just to get certifications to get entry level jobs, but I have to wait for unemployment to be able pay for those extra certifications. I've even thought of dumbing down my resume to even make it seem that I've only graduated from high school and that's the only job that I would only be able to qualify for. I'm either over qualified or under-experienced for certain jobs. That eats away at my soul but I keep on ticking. I've even posted to babysitting, usually jobs left to teenage girls trying to make some spending money, but I'm a mom trying to make ends meet.
I think that this stimulus check the government will be sending out, mine will be spent in gas, driving around looking for job. How does that help me, a mom, whose sole means of employment will be a job as a professional student with no way of paying back those educational loans or advancing towards the achievement of the "American Dream." As an undergrad I was guaranteed upon graduation that my degree would give me a certain status within the world, I have yet to reap the benefits of that supposed status.
