So I'm just sitting here watching the new gladiator, or rather the revamped gladiator. It is quite a revisit to the 70's and 80's without the hair. The 70's:
And the upgraded version: There hasn't been many changes in the bodies of the gladiators other than facial expressions. The gladiators of the 70's look friendlier given that the era was different and they didn't have all the challenges and stresses that the new and improved gladiators have to face, whatever that may be.
Other than that there have been some upgrades to the stage and a few of the games have some new twist. The main thing now is the requirement of all the participants to be able to swim because of the big pool that you can either fall into or get knocked into. More often than not, its because a person is being knocked into it.
The gladiators are roughly the same as they had always been, except a few key characters that I thought I'd mention. Well the hosts are Laila Ali, and Hulk Hogan. This seems to be funny because even with the famous host, the rest of the gladiators look like a bunch of WWE rejects for the men, and the women look like a bunch of playboy bunnies on steroids.
Now on to the two funny looking gladiators. Helga is a interesting woman on the show. She is a huge gladiator and she towers over the rest of the woman. Just like the rest of the women she has beauty but Helga sounds like a man when she speaks. WHOA.
And there is the gladiator Titan. Titan is good looking at first glance. That's only at first glance. Man he's had so many surgeries that at second glance you would this it was David Hasslehof. And you can tell because the skin around his face doesn't move with any type of emotion. It's creepy.
Other than that competition on the show is still as fierce, no matter how many decades that it's been.
